We are starting sewer construction work in Districts 3 and 6!


The long-awaited North Shore to Channel Force Main Sewer Improvement, Water Main Relocation & Replacement, and Pavement Renovation Project is starting!

The first type of activity that you will see would be construction workers pothole the area (look for underground utilities) along the project alignment.

Beauty be dammed - Hetch Hetchy inspires

Bring Your Old Pills to any SF Police Station on April 30th!


Do you have old or expired pills/medications piling up?



Bring them to any San Francisco Police Station on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 10am to 2pm for safe disposal.



Please don't throw pills/medicine away in the toilet or trash! They can end up in the Bay or ocean.



Not accepted: liquids (call 415-330-1405 for a mail-in envelope), needles (get free sharps containers at Walgreens) or Illegal drugs.


All other medications and pills are accepted.

Water Main Installation on Laguna, Green & Scott Street


New Water Main Installation at:

Laguna Street (from California to Bay Streets)

Green Street (from Laguna to Octavia Streets)




Shaw Pipeline Construction, Inc. the contractor working for the San Francisco Pubic Utilities Commission (SFPUC) has begun construction of an 8-inch ductile iron main on June, 2010. Construction starts at Laguna and Bay Street and is expected to finish in December, 2010.

During construction, water supply to the residents will not be interrupted. The work will be conducted in three stages: 1) Trench and install pipe; 2) Service connections to properties; and 3) Paving of streets in segments.

Parking:
* No-parking signs are posted in areas where the contractor is working. If there is no work by noon, public parking is permitted.

* Residents in the construction area will continue to have access to their garages, although there may be temporary delays.

Work hours: 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday.

The water main installation is expected to finish in December, 2010. During construction, water supply to the residents will not be interrupted.

The work will be conducted in three stages: 1) Trench and install pipe; 2) Service connections to properties; and 3) Paving of streets in segments.

Parking: No-parking signs are posted in areas where the contractor is working.

Construction starts at Vallejo and Broderick streets and is expetced to finish in December, 2010. During construction, water supply to the residents will not be interrutped.
