Update on Pacific Heights' water/sewer upgrades

FFFinal service connections to the residents near the intersection of
Webster and Green streets.

There are three locations under construction in the next two weeks.
1. Webster Street between Green and Lombard streets : Final connections to the residential buildings are being made and the Water Department crew will leave the site after April 3rd. Repaving the street will follow.
2. Octavia Street between Broadway and Vallejo streets : The contractor is installing a 24-inch water transmission line and will not finish until the second week of April.
3. Pacific Avenue between Webster and Steiner streets : Saturday work will continue at the intersection of Pacific and Steiner streets on the 28th. Next week sewer construction work will move toward Steiner Street.

Saturday Work: Pacific Avenue and Fillmore Street

Saturdays are Only Time MUNI Can Take Electric Buses Off Line
The contractor will work two Saturdays at Pacific Avenue and Fillmore Street on March 21st and March 28th as weekends are the only time MUNI can de-energize its buses so that construction work can proceed at this intersection.
This work is part of the new water transmission line construction that is moving along Pacific Avenue toward Steiner street. Meanwhile construction of the 24-inch water transmission pipeline at Broadway and Webster streets will finish early next week; followed by service connections to nearby buildings.

Webster and Broadway

A 24-inch water transmission line will be installed at the intersection of Broadway and Webster next Monday, March 16th. The contractor expects it will take about one week to finish. Exisiting drop-off and pick-up arrangements for the parents of School of the Sacred Heart and Hamlin School will not change.

Broadway Street at Octavia Street

Construction of a water transmission line at the intersection of Broadway and Octavia streets.
Construction of a 24-inch water transmission pipeline on Broadway Street is now moving along Octavia Street and is expected to be complete in about a week. Nearby sewer construction at Vallejo Street between Franklin and Gough streets is proceeding ahead full steam, taking advantage of the dry weather this week.

Vallejo between Franklin and Gough

Vallejo Street between Franklin and Gough streets will maintain one-way traffic during construction.

Due to the rain and unstable weather, starting date of sewer construction at Vallejo Street between Octavia and Franklin streets has been held off Tuesday, March 3rd and Wednesday, March 4th. Meanwhile, excavation and installation of a 24-inch water transmission pipe on Webster Street between Broadway Street and Pacific Avenue will begin in the third week of March.
