As we begin to wrap up construction in the Pacific Heights/Cow Hollow area, the combined water and sewer construction will move to Vallejo Street between Van Ness Avenue and Larkin Street starting next Wednesday. Two-way traffic is maintained on Broadway Street while repaving continues.

To complete the final water main construction, the contactor is repaving Broadway between Webster and Laguna streets and expects to finish this Friday.

Other construction activities next week:
1. Vallejo / Franklin & Van Ness:
* Vallejo from Gough to Van Ness
* The contractor will test 8-inch water main this Friday and next Monday and excavate the connection on Tuesday
* The Water Department will chlorinate and make connections to residents from Tuesday to Friday.
2. Broadway/Octavia and Pacific/Steiner
The contractor will make the 24-inch water main connections between these two locations
all week.
3. Scott / Jackson & Clay
* The contractor continues potholing, followed by chlorinating lines and making connections at Scott/Clay to Pacific /Fillmore all week.
* Scott / Washington & Clay – Continues installing electronic devices to monitor water quality this Friday and next Monday.
4. Filbert / Mason & Columbus
Water main trenching work begins next Wednesday through Friday.
5. Vallejo at Larkin
Begin excavating trench, laying 24-inch sewer pipe, and installing a new manhole.

Making Service Connections at Pacific Avenue

Following the installation of a new water main, Water Department crews are now making service connections to the residents on Pacific Avenue between Fillmore and Steiner streets. They expect to finish the work in a week, followed by repaving of the street.

Last Phase of Water Pipeline Project Moves to North Beach

Project work will begin at Filbert Street between Mason Street and Columbus Avenue.

Starting next week, the contractor will begin underground work and laying a new water main using trenchless methods across the intersection of Filbert and Mason streets. The work will commence on approximately Monday, August 3rd. Paving work will follow after completion of the water work in the area. This is the last segment of the North Unversity Mound System Upgrade Project that is scheduled to be completed near year's end.

New Driveways for Webster Street Residents

This driveway on Webster Street will be repaved next Wednesday

Three driveways on the east side of Webster Street between Pacific Avenue and Broadway Street (2590 and 2550 Webster, and 2300 Pacific Avenue) will be repaved starting next Monday, July 27th. There will be no access to these driveways on Wednesday, July 29th when the contractor will pour concrete and let it dry for a day. The contractor will also repave a portion of Webster Street at the northeast corner of Broadway next Monday.

Other construction activities in the area next week:
1. Vallejo / Franklin & Van Ness : Continue testing 24-inch water main from Van Ness to Broadway/Octavia next Monday and Tuesday, install 54-inch sewer main and replace side sewer next Monday; install service lines from Tuesday to Thursday; and make connections to homes on Wednesday.
2. Scott / Jackson & Clay : Potholing, chlorination and making connections to homes continue from Pacific/Fillmore to Scott/Clay.
3. Scott / Washington & Clay : Continue installing electronic devices called Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition to monitor water quality.

Sidewalk Improvements on Vallejo Street

Residents on Vallejo Street near Octavia will notice improvements as workers are replacing the sidewalk, curb and gutter. Several driveway improvements will also be included in this work.

Other construction activities in the area next week:

1. Vallejo / Franklin & Van Ness : Test 24-inch water main from Van Ness to Broadway/Octavia between Tuesday and Friday; excavate trench and install 54-inch sewer pipe.
2. Scott / Jackson & Clay : The Water Department crew starts chlorination and will make service connections to homes. This will require some potholing.
3. Scott / Washington & Clay : Install electronic devices to monitor water quality.

Sidewalk Repaving on Vallejo Near Octavia Street

Some driveways on Vallejo Street will not be accessible

during sidewalk repaving later this week

The contractor will repave the sidewalk in front of 1854, 1868, 1874, and 1880 Vallejo Street on Thursday, July 16 th and Friday, July 17 th between 8 am to 6 pm. During construction the driveways at these addresses will not be accessible to the residents. We appreciate your support and request that residents plan activities accordingly. (We will update blog if work finishes earlier).

1. Vallejo / Octavia & Gough : Chlorination test for the new water main and main connections at Broadway/Octavia to Vallejo/Gough ; Dig up curbs and ramps for repaving work.

3. Scott / Jackson & Clay : Excavate connection locations to allow the Water Department to chlorinate and make connections.
4. Clay / Divisadero & Scott : Excavate trench, install and pressure-test 24-inch water main at Clay and Divisadero to Pacific and Steiner next Monday to Wednesday.

Water main : Our contractor will excavate trench and install 24-inch and 8-inch water mains next Monday. From Wednesday to Friday, crew will test a 24-inch water main at Broadway and Octavia.
Sewer replacement: Excavating trench and installing 54-inch sewer line from Tuesday to Friday.

1. Vallejo / Octavia & Gough : Chlorination test and make connections at Broadway/Octavia to Vallejo/Gough throughout next week.
2. Scott / Jackson & Clay : Excavating trench and installing 8-inch water main next Monday to Wednesday.
