Construction crew at Vallejo/Octavia rebuilding new driveways Residents on Vallejo Street near Octavia will notice improvements as workers are replacing the sidewalk, curb and gutter. Several driveway improvements will also be included in this work.
Other construction activities in the area next week:
1. Vallejo / Franklin & Van Ness : Test 24-inch water main from Van Ness to Broadway/Octavia between Tuesday and Friday; excavate trench and install 54-inch sewer pipe.
2. Scott / Jackson & Clay : The Water Department crew starts chlorination and will make service connections to homes. This will require some potholing.
3. Scott / Washington & Clay : Install electronic devices to monitor water quality.
