Sidewalk Reconstruction on Scott from Clay to Jackson

The east side of Scott Street near Jackson Street during reconstruction Friday afternoon.

The contractor is completing the final phase of the street restoration on Scott Street.
Construction details:
Scott Street – Clay/Jackson
Curb and sidewalk restoration (east side near the park) – on-going all week.
* Reconstruct curb ramps:
1. at Scott and Washington
2. at Scott and Pacific
Vallejo - Octavia/Van Ness
The contractor is completing the final phase of street restoration on this section of Vallejo Street.
Construction details:
* Franklin to Van Ness - On-going concrete paving will be completed by Monday, September 28, to be followed by final asphalt paving in the second week of October.
* Gough to Franklin - On-going driveway reconstruction will be completed by Monday, September, 28th, to be followed by final asphalt paving in the second week of October.
* Octavia to Gough – Final street paving in the second week of October.
* Vallejo at Van Ness - Access ramp restoration on the west side of Vallejo will be finished by Friday, September 25th or Monday, September 28th.
Pacific and Steiner
The Water Department will be connecting water lines the week of September 28th.

Driveway Restriction on Vallejo between Gough and Van Ness

1. Driveway Restriction on Vallejo Street between:
* Gough and Franklin
Driveway construction has begun Thursday, September 17. Garages will NOT be accessible on Monday, September 21st, between 8 am and 6 pm. Work will continue on some driveways after Monday, however access will be provided.
*Franklin and Van Ness
Driveway construction has begun Friday, September 18th. Garages will NOT be accessible for one more day on Monday, September 21st, between 8 am and 6 pm. Work will continue on some driveways after Monday, however access will be provided.
Please speak to the foreman with the paving crew for driveway access assistance.

Other construction activities in the vicinity:
2. Intersection of Union and Hyde
Two more weekends of work on:
* September 19th and 20th between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
* September 26th and 27th between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Weekends are the only time MUNI can de-energize its buses so that construction work can proceed at this intersection.
3. Union - Hyde and Leavenworth
The contractor installs 24-inch and 8-inch water transmisison pipes through Friday, September 18th.

4. Pacific and Steiner
The Water Department is making connections through next Friday.

No Driveway Access on the South Side of Vallejo between Franklin and Van Ness

Construction crew working Tuesday to prepare for this Friday’s driveway restoration.

As part of the final phase of the combined water main and sewer replacement project, the contractor will be pouring concrete for the new driveways on the south side of Vallejo Street on Friday, September 18th. In order to allow time for the concrete to dry properly, garages on this side of Vallejo Street will NOT be accessible between 8 am to 6 pm. Please make arrangements accordingly. Construction Update on Vallejo between Gough and Van Ness

Workers are preparing for next week’s driveway restoration on Vallejo street.

1. Vallejo - Gough and Franklin
* Driveway restoration - The contractor is restoring the driveways on the north side of this block and will pour the driveways on Tuesday, September 15th. To allow the concrete to dry, the driveways will not be accessible that day from 8 am to 6 pm.
* Pipe-testing - The Water Department will have finished testing and making connections by Friday, September 11th.

2. Vallejo at Van Ness - Restoring curb ramp on the west side of the intersection through September 25th.

3. Union
* Larkin to Hyde - The contractor will finish installing 24-inch and 8-inch water tranmission lines next Monday.
* Hyde to Leavenworth – The contractor will install 24-inch and 8-inch water transmission lines from Tuesday to Friday.
* At the intersection of Hyde – Crews will be working over 3 consecutive weekends starting September 12th through September 27th. Weekends are the only time MUNI can de-energize buses so that construction work can proceed at this intersection. After the tunneling work under the cable car tracks has been completed, the contractor will install and connect a 24-inch water transmission line, which will take about a week.

Driveway Restoration Underway at Vallejo between Franklin and Van Ness

The work crew started restoring driveways Tuesday morning.

As part of the final phase of the combined water main and sewer replacement, and street renovation, driveway restoration is now underway on the north side of Vallejo Street between Franklin Street and Van Ness Avenue. Here is the schedule:

* Tuesday 8th: Driveways reconstruction on the north side of Vallejo between Franklin and Van Ness. Driveway will be accessible.
* Wednesday 9th: Pour curb. Driveway will be accessible.
* Thursday 10th: Pour driveway. To allow the concrete enough time to dry up, the garages will NOT be accessible to the residents between 8 am to 6 pm.

Please make arrangements accordingly. If you have special needs or an emergency situation, the inspector on site will work with you. No Construction During Labor Day Long Weekend

The contractor will have no construction in the Cow Hollow/Pacific Height area next Monday, September 7.

Construction activities next Tuesday to Friday:

1. Vallejo / Franklin & Van Ness
The north side of this portion of Vallejo will go through driveway and curb ramp repair from Tuesday to Thursday. The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday 8th - Demolish driveways (driveway accessible)
Wednesday 9th - Pour curb (driveay accessible)
Thursday 10th - Pour driveway (No driveway access between 8AM and 6PM)

2. Vallejo / Gough & Van Ness
The Water Department will
*continue to test pipes and make seven 8-inch connections to the residents throughout next week.
*connect 12-inch conenction at Franklin from Wednesday to Friday.

3. Pacific / Steiner
The Water Department will make 24-inch water transmission connection throughout next week.

Repaving of Pacific Avenue Soon to be Complete

Residents on Pacific Avenue will soon experience a smooth ride with the final repaving work between Steiner and Scott to be completed later this month. This will complete the repaving work in this area. The photo above shows the repaved portion of Pacific between Webster and Steiner streets.
