Construction Update on Vallejo between Gough and Van Ness

Workers are preparing for next week’s driveway restoration on Vallejo street.

1. Vallejo - Gough and Franklin
* Driveway restoration - The contractor is restoring the driveways on the north side of this block and will pour the driveways on Tuesday, September 15th. To allow the concrete to dry, the driveways will not be accessible that day from 8 am to 6 pm.
* Pipe-testing - The Water Department will have finished testing and making connections by Friday, September 11th.

2. Vallejo at Van Ness - Restoring curb ramp on the west side of the intersection through September 25th.

3. Union
* Larkin to Hyde - The contractor will finish installing 24-inch and 8-inch water tranmission lines next Monday.
* Hyde to Leavenworth – The contractor will install 24-inch and 8-inch water transmission lines from Tuesday to Friday.
* At the intersection of Hyde – Crews will be working over 3 consecutive weekends starting September 12th through September 27th. Weekends are the only time MUNI can de-energize buses so that construction work can proceed at this intersection. After the tunneling work under the cable car tracks has been completed, the contractor will install and connect a 24-inch water transmission line, which will take about a week.
