Scott Street Driveway / Street Restoration Update

By around 12 pm Friday, more than half of the west side of Scott between Washington and Clay streets are poured with concrete.

Scott / Washington & Jackson
Demolition of the west side of Scott Street between Washington and Jackson streets is scheduled for Monday, August 31. The new concrete will be poured Wednesday, September 2. To cure the concrete surface and and allow adequate time for drying, garage access on this stretch of Scott will be restricted from:

8 am Monday, August 31 to 4 pm Saturday, September 5.

To help accommodate residents who will not have access to driveways and garages, their vehicles will be allowed to park along the east side of Scott Street. One-lane traffic will be limited to local residents only.
Other activities in the area next week:
Vallejo / Gough & Van Ness
Test pipes, make 48 changeovers from old to new pipes, and 7 connections to buildings all week.

Street Parking For Residents on Scott Street

Vehicle access to this section of Scott between Clay and Washington will be limited to local residents only.

To help accommodate residents who will not have access to driveways and garages on Scott between Clay and Washington from Wednesday, August 26th to Monday, August 31st, we have made the following arrangements:

Residents’ vehicles will be allowed to park along the east side of Scott Street at the park. One-way traffic will be limited to local residents only.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are doing everything we can to minimize the impact to our neighbors. Cooperation from our neighbors will help us finish our work as quickly as possible.

Just a reminder for nearby residents in the area that Shaw Pipeline Inc. will work at the intersection of Larkin and Union this Saturday. There will be traffic control but residents can expect occasional traffic delay as heavy trucks and equipments will move in and out of the area.

Driveway Repaving on Scott between Clay and Washington

Cow Hollow/Pacific Height
1. Scott Street
Notices have been sent out to residents on Scott between Clay and Jackson advising them that their driveways will be scheduled to be poured. In order for the cement to dry up residents will not be able to access their driveways on certain days.
* Scott between Clay and Washington - Driveways on this section of Scott will not be acessible from:
8 am Wednesday. August 26th to
4 pm Monday, August 31.

* Scott between Washington and Jackson - Driveways on this block will not be accessible from:
8 am Wednesday, 26th August to 8 am Thursday, 27th August.
Due to construction this stretch of Scott Street will be temporarily closed to traffic. Residents should make arrangement accordingly.

* The contractor will also build a new curb ramp at the corner of Scott and Clay next Tuesday and Wednesday.
* The contractor will finish installing concrete street panel on the west side of Scott from Clay to Jackson next Wednesday to Friday.

Other construction activities next week:
2. Vallejo & Van Ness
The contractor will install a curb ramp at Vallejo on the west side of Van Ness next Wednesday to Friday.
3. Pacific / Steiner
The Water Department will make 24-inch water transmission connection all week.
4. Pacific / Fillmore
The Water Department continues to test pipe and making connection to the residents next Monday to Wednesday.

North Beach
1.Filbert / Mason & Leavenworth

Install 24-inch water line from:
* Mason to Taylor this Friday and next Monday.
* Taylor to Jones next Tuesday to Friday.
2. Larkin / Vallejo & Union
Install 24-inch water line from:
* Vallejo to Green this Friday and next Monday to Tuesday.
* Green to Union this Friday and next Wednesday to Friday.
3. Saturday work at Larkin / Union intersection
The contractor will work at this location as weekend is the only time MUNI can de-energize its buses so that construction work can proceed at this intersection.

Water Main Installation on Vallejo to Larkin

Trenching along Vallejo Street between Van Ness and Larkin to prepare for installing a 24-inch water transmission line next Monday to Wednesday.

Trenching along Vallejo for water main installation will continue through this Friday. Other construction activities next week:

North Beach area:
1. Vallejo / Van Ness to Larkin

Install 24-inch water transmission line between Van Ness and Polk, from Monday to Wednesday.
2. Larkin / Vallejo to Union
Install 24-inch water transmission line from /Vallejo to Green from Thursday and Friday.
3. Filbert / Columbus & Mason
Excavate and install vault next Monday; install 24-inch water transmission line from Tuesday to Thursday.

Cow Hollow/Pacific Height area:
1. Vallejo / Gough & Van Ness
The contractor will dig up locations so that the Water Department can test pipes and make connections to the residents throughout next week.
2. Pacific / Steiner
The Water Department will make 24-inch water transmission connections from Monday to Wednesday.
3. Pacific / Fillmore
The Water Department is completing testing pipe and making connections to the residences this Friday, August 14th.
4. Scott / Clay & Jackson
The contractor will reapir driveways and sidewalk on the west side of Scott from Clay to Jackson all week.
5. Scott / Clay
The contractor will repair sidewalk and ramp all week.
6. Clay / Divisadero & Scott
The contractor will repair driveways and sidewalk Monday to Wednesday.

Sidewalk/Driveway Repairs and Street Repaving in Full Swing

Grinding work on the slope section of Scott and Washington streets Tuesday, August 11.

Beginning the second week of August through the end of the month, the contractor is repairing sidewalks, driveways, and repaving streets at various sections of Scott, Broadway, Vallejo, and Pacific Avenue.

Repaving on Pacific Avenue

Repaving on Pacific Avenue between Pierce and Scott streets is part of the final process of sewer and water main constructions in the Pacific Height area as the contractor plans to do the same for nearby streets that have gone through similar upgrades.

Other construction activities next week:

1. Vallejo / Gough & Van Ness
The Water Department is testing and cleaning pipelines and making connections to the residents, to be followed by sidewalk repair and street repaving next week.
2. Scott / Jackson & Clay
The contractor will start repaving next week and will continue through mid-September.
3. Pacific / Steiner
The Water Department will make 24-inch water main connections next week, to be followed by repaving.
4. Filbert / Mason & Leavenworth
Intall 24-inch water main next Wednesday to Friday.
5. Vallejo / Van Ness & Larkin
Install 24-inch water main from Van Ness to Polk from Monday to Wednesday; Polk to Larkin from Wednesday to Friday.

Repaving Scott between Jackson and Clay

The intersection of Scott and Jackson is ready for final repaving

Following the completion of sewer and water main work, the contractor has begun repaving Scott Street between Jackson and Clay streets. Because it is concrete-based construction, it will take about three weeks for the contractor to complete the process.
