  1. I certainly appreciate construction on our water system to improve the quality of water for all residents, and I can even understand the need to do it on a Saturday because of MUNI limitations. My only question would be: why at 7 am on Saturday? The construction schedule indicates an earlier start time on the weekdays than on the weekend. This scheduling is not only inconsiderate of the residents, but runs counter to any notion of common sense--people leave their homes early in the morning on the weekdays, so early consutruction would not be as intrusive as on the weekends.

  2. Thank you for the question. Our project inspectors are on site to make sure contractors comply with all construction scheduling, noise guidelines and other regulations. Sometimes work-related activities, such as placement of materials and equipment, begin before construction starts. That preparation can be noisy. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding of the importance of this work.
