Clay Street Final Repaving is Underway Thursday

The final process of repaving on Clay Street between the intersections of Scott and Divisadero streets has begun Thursday morning, which will complete the construction of a new water line in this neighborhood. The water line installation is part of the SFPUC’s Water System Improvement Program (WSIP), a combination of new water mains, sewer repairs and replacement, and pavement renovation. A joint undertaking between the SFPUC and the Department of Public Works, the North University Mound System Upgrade project will provide a backup water supply to this area in case of an emergency, reduce service interruption or repairs, and prevent sewer backups and overflows.

The WSIP project team wants to thank the neighbors for their patience throughout the construction and wish everyone a happy holiday and a prosperous new year.
